Make tidying up a little more fun with this large storage basket from Rice. Woven from raffia and shaped like a charming little house, it features a colourful Paris theme that makes it a decorative addition to a child’s room.

All RICE baskets are handmade from raffia, which naturally varies in colour. This variation is also reflected in the dyeing: sometimes the colour is light, while at other times it is more intense. This means no two baskets are exactly alike. The shape may also vary slightly. We think that’s part of the charm—you can see that each product is handmade. If you order several baskets at once, we’ll send you the ones that are closest in colour and shape. Unfortunately, we’re unable to show photos of the different variations. 

About the material: Raffia is a wonderful natural material made from palm leaves. Rice’s raffia comes from Madagascar, where every raffia product is made with care. The products are made in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, and their production helps provide the local residents with better livelihoods and more resources. It supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. As raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will vary slightly in colour, shape and size. Colours will fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight. Avoid water, as it may cause the colour to run.
